Quick question about RTH

Basically if I am already flying higher than my RTH height is set will drone stay at this higher altitude and return home or lower it self to the RTH set hight and them return? Or a combo of sloping down to the RTH height? I hope to test this some day but wanted your guys' expert knowledge.

Yes. It never lowers its altitude before returning home.

It will stay at that higher altitude... Just descend when at home....
