And especially for quad copters' props!Come at a tree at the wrong angle and prop guards won't save you, nature designed twigs to poke out in all sorts of directions.
I bought removable ones from arizona on ebay. only ones I could find not being shipped from china that also weren't 4 times the price. $7 i think.Does anyone know which Prop Guards are the best made and the strongest? I have read that some are better than others. Need to buys some, suggestions welcomed. Thank you.
I got mine on amazon.com, but on your question about guards being solid or hollow. Remember it's also a trade-off weight vs strength. Some are round and others are crescent in shape regarding their structure. Guards are meant to protect your props at slow speed contact, don't think it's really necessary to get them so strong that they're going to work going 30 mph. Not sure if you live in the States because I have one extra set of brand new ones still in their plastic bags red and white that were never installed. Spent 20 on them but I'd be willing to sell them for 15 plus shipping.I have watched a few Utubes about guards. Some have said that some guards are "Great" and others are just "Cheap Plastic Junk". But they never named the good ones. It appears some are hollow and other are strong solid plastic. Any ideas or Web Sites?
