Got interested in drones about six months ago reading on here it was suggested to start with a syma x5It was great fun and a awesome learning experience as I got better with that I felt confident enough to buy a phantom for advanced I didn’t want to Buy it from the local store I went to the importer up and Auckland New Zealand is they do the repairs there I had a lot of flying fun learning to use it as my confidence grew I wanted to film a lighthouse the first thing that happened was I lost my video transmission kit dropping out but I couldn’t log back in to the day I go ap and get connection while the bird was flying a fellow flyer suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the DJDJ I go app this seem to work but then I put in a new memory card in the card the correct way up I might add it made a Wearin screeching noise sort of like a PC hard drive I took it out and tried to fly without it but no video transmission at all I have had it only three months and it is under warranty so I sent it back to fin tech where I bought it they said probably a week I am not getting any feedback from them and content constantly Ring them they keep telling me they are so busy which got me wondering what is the r realise ability of these drones why are they so busy anyway after me from Coles they have told me they need to send it to China for be another four weeks so that’s nearly 3 months without my drone which is only three months old I suggested they give me alone dron in the meantime But they wouldn’t hear of iti I have just started a small business filming for real estate agent I have had to turn a few down because I think it is very porn for the New Zealand important not to be able with some sort of drone so I can can you with my work very disappointed what are your opinions on this cheers Bruce

Wow that sad on fern tech part you would think they just exchange it,obviously they just want the $$$$$ and don't care,never brought nothing from them but the site looked ok,similar issue I had with p34k from noel lemming,no exchange they wanted to send to China and I pay shipping,no way,and drone gone for long time,waste of time owning if it overseas for couple months, I would not accept the I'm busy excuse and try to get hold of someone upstairs,only thing I can see to do here is buy another and sell other one once returned,I know also not cheap here ,I pay top dollar to being in Wellington,,gezz hope they sort you out quick smart,write them up a bad review, you might get some attention,best of luck,,,wow fern tec
I certainly hate to hear of your problems. Normally, these drones are very reliable. I would recommend that any tool being used in a business should be bullet proof (which drones are not) or you should have a backup. I wouldn't consider going into business doing aerial video without a backup craft. I would have to figure that into my costs. You could have a failure or accident and your business is down. Having two allows you to continue while the other is being fixed.
I play keyboards in church for example and I have two identical keyboards. If one fails, I can use the other one. Since it's a paid position, I have to have it working!

Thanks for comments,i totally agree,I took a loane for my set up up so a back up drone will be awhile away and it won’t be threw fern tech nz.do you think I should post this in general discussion?
