So i see there is a option in the settings to change between auto and manual focus. i read manual,gives you a scroll bar you can slide to adjust focus but for me it seems switching does nothing at all. I still have to tap to focus..

Unless you are photographing something quite close to the Phantom, you won't need this much.
The lens has good depth of field and in aerial photography, the subject is usually distant from the camera.

So if i tap some trees far in the distance then everything will be in focus up to that point?

I have the same problem with Iphone 7+ on Ios 10.2. Did you solve it?
