Yes, it will close, latch and not touch the props.

Yes you can. They also engineered it so it won't put pressure on the motors or bend the props.

HPRC case is awesome. However, its bit on the heavy side and isn't cabin size. Then again I bet HPRC Phantom case is on the top when it comes down to the protection. The Phantom sits deep it that foam.
