The one that comes with the AC, keeps the front element squeaky clean. ND's for keeping your shutter at or close to twice frame rate (video). A polariser if you want deeper sky's with clouds that pop and less refections.

With the exception of the ND's for TV/frame rate control the filter usefulness and and effect is the same as for terrestrial photography.

I compared many of the commonly used brands here.

I picked up the cheapo set of filters from Neewer. It seems to load the gimbal down fairly front-heavy. I am a little alarmed at how hot it makes the gimbals pitch (I think) motor.

Also, if I install the unit so that the stock gimbal lock can still be used, then the front element of the filter strikes the ground.

I'd love to know if other folks have experienced the same front-heavy and hot motor scenario. I don't want to burn out my gimbal prematurely!
