P4 vs P2V+ Acceleration

I flew a friend's P4 on the weekend for the first time as I own a P2V+. I found it really sluggish and lacking responsiveness. I clicked it to sports mode and the acceleration didn't seem to change. In Atti mode in my p2V+ I can crank the speed and give it a good whirl. I didn't feel that when I flew the P4. My friend hadn't done the updates so is this the reason or have DJI slowed everything down? Just curious.

Sport Mode will give you around 45mph...maybe your friend hasn't enabled multiple flight modes in the GO app. It definitely isn't sluggish!

He probably hasn't as It was only his 4th flight. It felt like it probably would have made it to 45mph after cranking the stick forward and keeping it there. The acceleration just didn't seem as punchy.

You definitely weren't in sports mode...acceleration is instant (and fast).

so you can change that from the app?
Is there an assistant program for the P4 as well?

If your friend has object avoidance enabled, his P4 will be considerably slower than your old Phantom.
