P4 video / photo comparison

Anyone tested the quality from a P4 or P3 to see if there's a difference taking a raw still photo vs. grabbing the photo from the video shot in 4K.

I did both, at first I thought the 4k was better, more info etc. then compared the file size
and both were the same.
I liked the idea of shooting 24-30 fps then grabbing the frame in FCPX.
Any one else?
