I have had remote battery problems in the past. I did the heat gun fix. It worked for a while then I had to do it again. That lasted a few years. I like taking out my P4 once in awhile. It flies like a luxury car dŕives compared to my mini 3 pro. The power and the handling is fun.
I went to fly it last week and the remote had one light and kept beeping. It would not charge. I Googled the problem and found a you tube site that had a super easy circuit to install on the remote. It consists of two resistors. One is 80k, but I had to make it with 3 resistors in series. The other is 100k. Put everything back together and 3 lights came on. I charged everything up and had a great flight. Here's the link.

I had mine very neat. I put my 3 resistors together (to make an 80k) very close in a straight line from battery to v cell. The 100k came from the lead going to v cell to ground. Resistors wires are very stiff and stay in place off the board and under the top cover.
