P3S Required Add Ons

A quick clarification about FAA registration: it was introduced as a requirement in December 2015 (for models between 0.55 and 55lbs), then ruled illegal by a federal court in May 2017 (FAA had to change its wording to say registration was voluntary), and it's back to being mandatory, apparently thanks to a special provision in the National Defense Authorization Act, signed in December 2017.

Interestingly enough, on the FAA registration site, they mention "[...] fly with an aero-modeling club", while that is not a requirement:

Yes - that is worded oddly - making the interpretation vague, and I think it's at least partly because it's an outdated page circa late 2015. Note that the link takes you to another page advising one to read AC 91-57A which is also outdated. Part 107 and Part 101 weren't drawn up until the following summer of 2016.

I would recommend these
They go on the camera gimble arm so if you crash it prevents the camera snapping off. Also get a laydel as the neck one is not as comfy as the one that wraps around your arms. Also an argtek booster will help a lot too

I believe those are only for the "Pro" and "Advanced" Phantom 3's and not the Standard like the OP is asking about.
