P3P (and others) Lens Filter Removal

For those looking at 'a technique' to remove the P3P Lens the first time, this video maybe a benefit. DO NOT remove with pliers or other tools. The lens ring is very fine metal and will crush down if you use a locking tool that can't apply pressure around the entire ring. My first P3P I was able to get it off by hand, but subsequent ones needed more grip.

Basically, you just put a zip-tie around the lens, hold the camera and turn counter clockwise. For the visual folks, the video might help.

That's a misleading title to the thread....you're removing removing the filter from the lens, not the actual lens. Anyway, it's another tip tip to add to the elastic band/rubber gloves etc.

That's neat idea.....Or do a search on the forum for: 'New Tool for removing the stock UV filter'....it's brilliant and a must have tool.
