I am not sure but after updating the firmware I rebooted the system, it does not say anything that you can't fly. I assume that you can just take off normally.ahh so you cannot fly if your android dji go app tab or phone is not update ?
Funny thing,I looked at the 64 gb mini and there isn't a .bin file on it but I have been flying with it in the camera for several weeks with no problems.Videos and pics but no .bin so I looked at the 8 gb card that came with the drone and there is a .bin file on it, P3C_FW_V99.99.9999.bin .I guess I will format the 64 gb and install the update on it and see what happens.
i just opened the go app, and no prompt ? app shows version 3.1.11 and aircraft 1.7.90 ?Just open the DJI Go app and it will prompt you to download. Make sure to open it without linking the aircraft.
