.mov files not playing

Anyone have any input on why .mov files are not working, recorded on freshly wiped SD cards.

Greatly appreciated.

Change it to mp4. Probly a codec issue on whatever computer you are using.

Thanks, will try, but I have never had the issue before in .mov and a imac 5K, dozens of times. Strange.

I don't use apple platforms, but I know codecs play a large part of files not playing. Perhaps this would shed light on it. Out of date software?

MOV (and MP4) files are sometimes unplayable if recording is stopped too early. I have (free) software that can repair many of these files:
Repairing Corrupt DJI Video Files

Change the extension to mp4 and try again.

Make sure you are not recording in H265. Choose H264
