Monitor choice

A newbie here,I have a Standard series,and have been gathering as much info as I can before I set this $350.00 craft aloft,one is does the monitor Im using (Motorola Moto E Gen 1) have to have working cell service?Annnd,in one of the videos I was watching it said that you cant leave a charge in a Phantom battery because it will lessen the battery life,true?I have lotsa stuff that works with lipos,I know about keeping them at a store level,but these Phantom batteries are a new horse to me.

No it doesn't need working cell service. You could connect to wifi and cache the map first before you go to fly so the map will show up in the app. I use a wifi only tablet and don't have any problems.
