Linking Phantom 4 to used phantom 4 pro remote

Hi,
I am trying to link my phantom 4 to a used phantom 4 pro remote that someone gave me.

I have tried the standard link remote and press the button on the drone procedure but no luck.

i have also tried the C1 C2 reecord button option which also didn't work

any suggestions? does the remote have to somehow be unlinked from he previous drone first?

You need to connect the remote controller to DJI GO and change the following setting to "PHANTOM 4" before attempting to link the remote controller to the Phantom.

wow that was easy, i had the setting set to Phantom 4 pro as i thought it was to select the controller type.

No. The Phantom 4 Pro can be flown with any of these remote controllers:

• GL300C Ver.B
• GL300E
• GL300F

i tried this method but the controller wouldnt let me change the controller type, it just switches back to the default one (phantom 4 pro) when i choose the "okay" option when it gives me a warning. are there other settings that i need to change?

hey thanks for replying. As far as I know I checked the GL300E controller and it has the latest firmware. the only thing I did differently was to connect the controller to my PC and opened up DJI assistant 2, which basically did nothing. But right after I was able to switch the settings and connect to the P4
