Here's a still from our recent rocket launch. I think this was a "Level 2 Certification" flight, so it was probably using a J motor.

I didn't take very many stills at the launch since it's easier to take video. You have to time when to hit the button just right to capture a good photo of a launch. There is to much of a delay between shot using the continuous mode on the Vision's camera, so using it doesn't help. With video, I just have to make sure the camera is pointing in the right direction.

As you can see, the landscape isn't very exciting here in Central Florida.

What settings did you use? HArd to believe this was taken with a PV2+ stock camera. Hope I am wrong.

Sorry. Been away traveling. So, yes! This was shot with my PV2+. I shoot both JPEG and RAW then edit in Photoshop. The trick for some of the images is to use both the JPEG and the RAW images together. For example I split this image and used the sky from the JPEG which had more highlight detail and the RAW for the shadow detail. I also used some noise and smart sharpen to clean up any artifacts in the shadows. I also almost always try to correct the lens distortion as well.

And to answer your original question this was shot at 100 ISO.

Here’s a panoramic shot the same way and stitched together in Photoshop. The most significant thing that makes this possible is shooting in RAW.

you can make stills by doing screen captures of the video. they make great photos. here's screen grab as an example;

The Fishing sucks down there, I wonder if a fishing line and fly attached to pv2+ would catch a fish. Ha
