Just go into a well-lit room and press the white button a few times. Saves you even linking with the app - just bung the sd card in a reader and have a look.

Has anyone used a lens hood with the P2V to block the prop shadows and lens flare? I purchased a cheap one on Amazon but it results in photos that look like they are cropped with a circle. Are there any 46mm lens hoods designed to work with ultra wide angle lenses like the one on the Vision?
I can find "wide angle" ones (example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fotga-Screw-Mou ... B009GFYA4W ) but don't know if they are wide enough for the Vision fov?

Alternatively again- see the video I shared on an earlier post for making a DIY lens hood (on a gopro) to avoid the prop shadows- I'm sure something similar could be made for the DJI lens filter kit..
as of today Feb 14, amazon has the kit for sale, 11 left, just ordered one with the bower filter set.
Just sharing some tests with and without a 46mm filter kit I got off of amazon for only $12.50 shipped- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003QQYFLA/ref ... _ST1_dp_1- Bower VFK46C 5-Piece 46mm Digital Filter Kit- the filters in the Bower set include a circularly polarized HD filter, a ND HD filter, a UV filter, a lens cap and carrying pouch. The UV filter can be used to protect the lens- these tests were mainly into the direct fading sun - so a lot of lens flare was experienced and with the filters an additional halo effect was experienced but only into the direct sun..

Thanks for the test video - nice to see the sun! The effect of the circ polariser was quite dramatic at 90 degrees to the sun. It really made the trees "pop" against the deeper blue of the sky.
DIY lens hood to avoid/minimize horizontal prop shadows in string sunlight- inspired by te video I shared on an earlier page- I cut out a shape from a black spare piece of card lying about- experimented the shape and with live view on the vision camera/my mobile device to see how much of a hood I can have without showing in 'wide angle' view and settled on this shape and glued to the rubber seal/DIY lens kit metal frame with 'rubber cement' glue- can still screw in and out the different filters may also act to help protect the lens (as well as the filter) from being struck directly...

also- here's a video from Valentine's Day at the beach (before I made the above DIY lens hood)- I had just modded my repeater with an upgraded higher gain antenna (for much better video range) and with the DJI filter kit /circularly polarized filter onboard and went to Point Dume, Malibu, CA for some flying fun- this is the video (magic bullet effects added to add a more 'filmic' look)- was going great till towards the end of the flight/video I was practicing doing a panning shot around a life guard 'Baywatch' tower and didn't see the only wire on the entire beach, making a strike and crashing about 16 feet to the sand below- the good thing is the sand was a relatively soft landing and only broke 1 prop/rotor- down side is I got a lot of sand in the machine and all 4 motors were 'binding' afterwards because of the sand- just did a clean up and all 4 motors seem to be turning smoothly again- will do a test flight soon..
