Air 2 is a larger heat sink than the mini's so one should expect it to run cooler.

However, I have an Air 2 and it is beginning to show its age with GO 4 in that the video is beginning to lag at times. I think that model has also been discontinued as well. Larger screen I do like for apps that use a lot of real estate like Autopilot, as well as drawing out flight plans on it than a small screen.

When GO 5 comes out, my Air 2 might need to be replaced with the Pro model with the A10X processor.

I have a iPad mini 4 and live in Fl. I find my mini 4 blanks out after about I hr. I am trying to find a way to cool it, I also have a shade that completely encloses the tablet. If you hear of anyway to keep it cool let me know. I fly for two hrs each time I do. A football game.
