How to take a screen photo

I have an IPad and can' figure out how to take a screen shot. If I have to post a picture or graff off the screen do I copy the picture or is there a way to take a screen shot. Sounds dumb but I don't know other than to save a pic.

Hit the power button on the top right and the home button on the bottom center both at the same time

Press both of these buttoms at the same time...the screen shots will be stored in your gallery on the ipad

Check these out..a lot of the others i seen require you to link to a mac cpu..

These look like a download and done..not a 100% sure tho since im on my galaxy s3 right now
