P3 Firmware Here is Google maps on DJI GO (android)

As we all know the maps on DJI GO are really poor and so many newbies also ask questions of "are there better maps to use" ? There is indeed. It's all official and it's simple to do.

1) uninstall the DJI go app

2) delete the leftover folders

3) click on this link and scroll down to the bottom to get the firmware you want

It might help to mention which ap version(s) use Google maps.

Sorry for late reply. I didn't test every version to see what has the maps. But I do know version 3.0.0 and 3.0.1 Def has Google maps. It's the APK file that needs to be downloaded (basically the Google play store app but a much earlier version. APK is the name for apps basically)

Google Maps is still part of the latest GO apps, you just need to root your Android device to use it. Dunno about the most current versions that sport Map Box but I have Google Maps on version 3.1.28 and rooting my device was worth it.

I'm still on 1.08 and just cache the google maps before I fly

Does v3.1.28 use Google maps as default or is it because you rooted that version?
