Heck, we are all here to try to help others with their issues, or to offer suggestions due to our experiences with our drones........whether we still have them or not. I only have these old Phantom P3S Standards I can relate to, but still seek help now and then, ....and try to offer help when I can. That's what this Forum is all about.

So hang around Ian, we need your knowledge and experience to keep helping others. All we can do is try,...right?

Now that DJI dropped Geo Fencing as of Jan 15, 2025, how do I get rid of Geo Fencing on my Phantom 4 Pro v1 drone which uses the Go4 app?

Hi Greg, I just posted a thread that removed GEO Fencing for my V1.

Thanks everyone for great info. Will see what happens when I fly in those 'former' geofenced zones. Spending winter down south where there are no problems flying. Will see what happens next April on the west coast where I had problems in the past.

I just flew today Sacramento area. I got my LAANC authorization and check everything. Got yet another Update message on site. My 4th in 2 weeks. I was able to fly my mission successfully. I wanted to fly it a 2nd to let someone training have a chance on the sticks. I got the warning message and tried to select “ok” but no luck. Mission repeat never got launched a mere 5 minutes after the first attempt. I’m near but not in a no fly zone. I was well under the 400’ limit of the specific class E airspace. I think some glitches still need working out. Hopefully glitches worked out by the time you’re back West. DJI does recommend checking for app updates regularly now.

I’m reasonably confident I have the latest updates. I’ve certainly done several updates in the last two weeks! I was able to launch my first mission but had the new safety warning on my screen blocking everything. I tried to select the “ok” button but nothing happened. Flight ended came back for landing and new battery for second mission in exactly same location. I never could get past the safety warning dialogue box that blocked my ability to launch mission number two. Anyone else get stuck with the safety warning screen and not be able to access your mission? I could launch and fly manually but could not access my flight plan. Thanks! J

Connect your drone to your pc or laptop with DJI assistant 2 to do the geo zone update. Updating from the app didn’t work for me.
