Flying between US and Canada border

So I live in Michigan and over the weekend I wanted to fly while I was camping. Are there any rules about flying close or even crossing into another country? I can't seem to find anything saying so. More or less I'm not too worried about actually crossing over because I don't want to but I was wondering if there is anything about flying close.

On the US side of the boarder, your drone will be under US jurisdiction and therefore your restrictions on flying will be subject to US law, on the Canadian side it will be under Canadian jurisdiction. It's that simple.

Short answer: don't. Currently there is no law to support cross border flight by drones.

There are no laws against it either
