fast going up, but slow going down

I've noticed I can send the phantom up to 1000' in no time. However, the descent is significantly slower. I know it can't be too slow or the drone could become unstable and drop. Still, is there a way to speed up the descent, or a configuration to change in Assistant?

Also, are there any reputable batteries that offer more than 5200mAh?

Descending very slowly is okay. Descending too quickly though is what will cause your Phantom to become unstable and uncontrollably drop from the sky (VRS).

There are a handful of non-OEM batteries. Limefuel is one of the more popular batteries.

1000' up eh Ya.... ya can come down faster ! Put it in manual mode .

Yep....ya lost one but gained one so we even still .

You can also come down faster if you fly in any direction other than straight down. Carving/orbits while descending also speeds the descent.
