Sounds familiar too.. Try turning everything off completely, including device..& re boot (start up). Took me a few times but ended up working.
I was told esc error had something to do with motors restriction. You've not changed prop guards have you?

No, i have not changed anything, I am trying to figure out how to rcalibrate IMU, I can't even start the motors

Turn on RC ,device, & AC, go into your DJI Go app. tap the AC icon at the very top of screen that comes up.. then tap sensors.. you'll then see check imu & re calibrate imu.
& it wont hurt to put a fan on it too...

How you get on,,,? Can you start motors without the app conected ? Im thinking also under rc settings your remote might need calibration aswell,,easy to do just do what it says

don't you have to also have the drone on a very level surface..and to NOT DISTURB it during the IMU process ?

How do you calibrate the remote. I reinstalled firmware from the chip, recalibrated IMU. I still get escape error

No, I haven't changed anything. The last flight was uneventful and normal. I calibrated the IMU and reinstalled the firmware from the sd card, and trried several complete restarts. The motors just won't fire up, Esc error

OK here ,what colour drone rear lights flashing? Gimble light green ?remote green ?link light solid green,,,also in app under general settings there's a warning,,click on and see what latest warning was,,,once read them delete incase it's causing this mayby ?also when first turn on when this page come up check overall status and what it say,,,,,,and also me not want to sound like mum or dad but have a read on manual just to refresh the mind,,,I still do,it won't fix imu but will help you understand what you your lights are saying,,,did you try start without the app,,,just remote and drone ? Get same non start up situation ? Unsure if this is even going to work,,trial and error,,imu error could mean digging into flight data and uploading here so someone can convert it to english and explain,,

I only had this esc status error on my recently repaired P3P and it had me stumped too..what I did was recalibrate the remote control and calibrate the imu as well and it fixed the issue.

My ESC status error has returned on my P3P and after a lot of troubleshooting i found that if i remove the camera from the drone starts up ok no error message (my camera has a dodgy roll motor) which could be the cause and sd card was almost full needed formating...any info here maybe helpful to you..cheers!
