It would be safer to fly over buildings adjacent to the street or square and point toward the street rather than fly directly over people. I got schooled on that by an 'official' designated drone company when I was at a music festival this summer.
Fact is, there are a hundred times more risks on terra firma in NOLA than the likelihood of a drone dropping out of the sky, but you can still capture good shots without flying directly over people.

You are obviously very talented, but I concur with the reasoning of the question of andyimages. What you did isn't cool and puts all drone pilots at risk of further legislation. You challenged him to enlighten you. I challenge you to enlighten yourself. Ignorance is no defence.
