DJI GO APP MAP

I was wondering when I am flying my Phantom 3 standard, my tablet has the gps enabled. On the screen the map is a white box with my drone symbol in it but I was wondering if it can actually show the satellite view. I found the tab to select satellite view but it remained a white box. Thanks for yalls help with this.
OK I think I need to cache maps to tablet thru dji app? if this is true how do I do it. I know it is not needed but just think it would be nice to have.

Yes, you need to cache maps first. You can do this by simply loading it a home or someplace where you have a strong wifi connection.
