Hi Gump, I managed to get around the problem by updating my iPad mini to an iPad 4.

also, I had a very frustrating problem where my gimbal suddenly stopped working (I had no visual on the iPad) and I couldn't record video. This was fixed thanks to a YouTube video - basically, start the Phantom without the memory card in, then whilst it's on, insert the card and format it. That seems to fix that bug. Hope you get rid of the glitches soon!

Mini 4... I also tried it with my Samsung s8 phone.... No luck. I've seen a laggy screen before, but I've never had it go to a black screen that says dji.
