DIY Lens cover

Discovered a DIY lens cover for those of you cheap like myself. Went to Wendy's Restaurant and noticed the plastic ketchup holders would be just about the right size. Cut about 1/4 of the top off and it fits great.

I'd think the ketchup would get all over the lens.

...and it doesn't do anything to protect the fragile gimbal.

Good idea but I have a lens cap coming in the mail!

Lens cap will not fit over the lens if there is a ND filter fitted. ( screw on type) just found that out, I have put on a ND filter and now my cap is no good now unless I change back to standard lens every time I put it away..

I'm just glad the OP found a cover and was finally able to "catch up" to the rest of us.
