I would agree with you. I just had my wife look at it and she said 4" was too short

I have my holes drilled on front. With the antenna upside down 4" will not reach. With it right side up it will for me.

If only there was someone in Australia to do this, i'd get it done. I'm hopeless when it comes to mods so wont risk it myself.

The ones in my pictures above are 4 inch... 6 inch wouldn't hurt...

DBS please just supply the right cables to start with!!!

Not my call sir... itelite has responded to the complaints and the new production run is being shipped with shorter cables as I had requested from the start... but these are factory production run antenna kits guys... outsourced parts are the "lowest bidder" type of deal... itelite doesn't want to jack the price up any higher than it already is so they include typical vendor supplied cables.

It's like buying a car... you get the factory supplied radio and tires and intake and exhaust... and then when you want more performance you go for the aftermarket accessories that boost performance and looks etc...

We have bazillions of these antennas already out there and flying super long distances with the cables that are supplied so it's not like they are "bad" cables. But nothing wrong with taking the next step for an upgrade that looks and performs a bit better.
