DBS Mods = Power!!!

Just because we can.............. but no, you don't need to do that, the stock is great but for better signal behind or with trees in front you, you may want to do this. Just us ****, hyped up people doing this but there is some advantage to it................

DBS I just noticed I ordered the wrong one. I need it for phantom 3..looks like i ordered the phantom 2...

I see that happening, since all Phantoms are in the same page, it is a bit confusing (sorry DBS). Looking forward to having this too.

I am not questioning the mod, I can only see benefits coming from it. I am just wondering why some people are getting a second controller to do it. Is it because of warranty? Not fitting inside a case? Or something else.

I only got a third controller because I got it for a good price and I didn't have to mess with my originals for my two P3Ps. If I screwed it up or wanted to sell them they would be stock. No other reason....

Forget the distance (which was an easy 2.75 miles) my brand new DMB antenna booster powers the signal through very thick tree cover. In the past, once my P3P would get behind a thick stand of trees the signal would suffer. With the new antenna mod I never even as much as dropped a bar! HIGHLY recommend these guys if not simply from a safety stand point. I had them do the installation, I didn't have the guts to do it!

Sprague...Nice job! I bailed out on my last flight at 1.5+ miles, but I really want to work up to at least two+ miles...for me it's all about building up emotional trust in the equipment. Each flight a little further.

BTW, I wished I'd known you were going on the A&K NW Passage cruise...My wife and I are taking their Antarctic cruise this Dec.

I'm interested but I've got a nice compact case that fits my P3 and controller and batteries etc. With the antenna on like that there's no way the controller will fit. I see the benefit for sure though but I've gone 3 miles out and 3 miles back and I wasn't in the boonies.

Any reason why some are buying and doing the mod on an extra controller?

Maybe to maintain a stock setup for warranty... and a side controller for the down and dirty deeds

dedstik... I turned around at 2.75 because my knees were killing me due to their knocking together so violently! That was the longest flight back known to man or drone. DBS (or DMB) you guys are the best!!

Dude... it's quick connect... snaps onto the controller with spring tension... and wing nuts to the antenna for further breakdown portability... 2 minute setup or teardown if your slow and careful like me... eazy breazy bro.

But true story right there tho... some people don't even need a boost with the Lightbridge system working so well... all depends on the particular circumstances... build quality... cable routing and integrity... solder connections inside the stock antennas... so many factors need to align with the planets to have that perfect setup... rf is a fickle mistress

I will say that I didnt know what to think when i got my antenna, although I trusted rmmccabe so I ordered one. A few distance runs later. single battery (no mod) stock bird, DBS antenna, 20,000 ft.
Im too scared to push it more, for fear i wont make it home. ill try further tho

Just placed an order....can't wait to try it out.

I'm going to use a secondary controller for this mod. I should have "no" issues pairing a second controller to my phantom? I can use both interchangeably in essence?

Sorry, I have no knowledge about secondary controllers but I do know You're going to love it! One last thing about my experience with DBS… These guys do what they say and they do it right. Expert installation, turnaround was one day no ridiculous excuses or mistakes. I'm in a business filled with BS and hollow promises. Dealing with DBS did a lot to restore my faith in man and womankind!!!
