Can you use a key GPS tracker on a drone?

The link goes to a GPS Key tracker. You loose your keys, use an app to find them. I wonder if using one on a drone would make it easier to find if it lands in tall grass or in my case, a tree, never to be found again.

Would it interfere with the radio or wifi? I don't know. Have any if you tried this idea?

I dont see how it would interfere with anything. And would be a nice idea, id say as long as you can center it somehow and not be off balance.

Is there any space inside the shell to put a key tracker? So it isnt on the outside

Awesome ! Thanks for the replies. Sometimes 25meters would be all it would take. Do a course sweep and when you get a signal zero I. With the tracker. Beats loosing your drone. $25.00 worth of cheap insurance.

They're not much use when you lose signal at 3000m and can't find it though

Please also think about buying insurance for your drone. I bought insurance from State Farm, last year, and it cost just $30/year. I am insured for thieft, crash and lost. $30 to insure a $1000 drone.. not a bad idea.

If you don't mind DIY, you can easily.cheaply build a real GPS tracker with long distance (5 miles and more) range using a GPS module, a LoRa module and an Arduino. ~$30 all inlcuded for the Tx, less for the Rx

Sends GPS coordinates to a receiver, which can be connected to a smartphone and track both your position and the lost model position

I prefer the Nut Find3 tracker, Key Trackers, Best Bluetooth Tracker, Best Wallet Trackers,
- the battery is replaceable
- the lanyard in more convenient for attaching to more things
- it has an active mode that will proactively tell you when you're away from the item, like your phone or wallet

Is this a 2G or 3G tracker? 2G is no longer available in my area.
