Battery Left for 7 months uncharged

I have just bought a P4, but will be going abroad for 7 to 8 months and leaving it behind. Would leaving the battery for that length of time without charging/using it, damage it, if not, what charge % should I leave it? Thanx for any advice.

It would be best to maintain the battery like this. If you leave the battery untouched for 7-8 months, it might be dead when you return.
