These are some screen shots from airmap at my kids' high school. Obviously there are airports nearby and those are the orange circles, how do I interpret that zone I am in and need to do to fly there. I have seen others fly there.
how/where do you get numbers for that? What info do you provide?I know some people get intimidated by calling the tower...it's no big deal at all. Where I am at I have to call them for all of my flights. Occasionally you'll get a cranky person but my experience has been good.

from experience or just a guess?I think dobbins would tell you to kick rocks. Good luck though. I hope you can get approval and some great pics!
I am just south of Atlanta. I am new to the drone world, but I am not new to the aviation world. I will be glad to help with any questions regarding the airports around here. We need to stay out of trouble to avoid even more regulations.
airmap.com, seems easy to use, other than the question I have on the orange recreational circlesOur messages crossed. What is the software you are getting the map from? I will take a look at it. As mentioned above, the B4UFLY app is free from the FAA. I would recommend it.
