Advanced found as professional

Hi, I have phantom 3 advanced and when turn ON it is found as professional and no have camera or any control on mobile.
I changed 2 gimbal ribbon cables.
Need info: if power ON without gimbal, will should be foundcas advanced ? To be sure not problem with my canera etc....

The only difference between the Advanced and the Professional version is the camera and firmware.
You can change an Advanced to a (or vice versa) by swapping camera and loading the appropriate firmware.

You dont need to load any firmware, just adding the camera makes it a Pro

The camera is usually marked as Advanced or Pro on a label

Welcome to the forum
I agree between a P3A and a P3S is the camera.

Firmware, maybe be needed? don't mess with the firmware until you have to!

I would get a camera on, then look at what the lights do.

Also the part that rubbers hold, I call the gimbal plate. I think that had a P3P camera on it.

These members a great, if I'm wrong they will correct us.

Thanks for lot replay, my drone is advanced,also camera is advanced,was ok but one day without touching firmware or whatever else when powered on was found as professional, and no image on my mobile at all,not even map, directions etc. Without visual on mobile drone can be flight. I would be grateful if someone own p3a and try to disconnect 2 connectors (see image) from gimbal to drone and power ON and see will be found as advanced or professional.As I remember now can't install any firmware, becouse sd card must be inserted in gimbal, so not know how goes this problem, gimbal operate,so could be bad camera flat cable its 2 of them but aliexpress one but was ok with first installed ribbon cable.
By the way, on Google many cases as mine and not seen someone fixed.

Im guessing its the app that is seeing it as a pro, can you not choose the advanced instead

DJI made these models by making the Pro, then cutting it down to get Advanced.

So, Pro is what the app considers a "default". The drone is Pro, unless proven otherwise. And since only camera is different between Pro and Advanced, only the camera can send the proof.

If you've damaged your camera to the point it can no longer talk to the rest of the drone (or just disconnected it), you will always have a Pro.

When the camera remains silent, selecting Advanced from the app manually won't change anything. Without the working camera, Pro and Advanced are identical.

Hmm, bad situation, but on Google many users has same problems, not sure all camera defected...

As I see also camera ribbon cable can trigger this error? Because I checked 2 connectors from drone to gimbal (one was loose so I asded cable) . But in my case also firnware update not going,no red/green led flashing...

Gimbal connects to the rest of the drone using 2 ribbons. One is from ESC Center Board, the other is from VPS.

So there are two data links: USB and CAN. I am pretty sure all control data (in form of DUML packets) go over CAN, and the USB is for video only.
