I never had my P3 forced to upgrade. They make it look like you have to upgrade, but don't do it. They don't make any upgrade for P3 anymore. Calibration has nothing to do with upgrading. There are a lot of online hacks for the P3's. Have fun.

I had mine very neat. I put my 3 resistors together (to make an 80k) very close in a straight line from battery to v cell. The 100k came from the lead going to v cell to ground. Resistors wires are very stiff and stay in place off the board and under the top cover.

I hope I remember right. I had a p3 with no battery to test it. I used a power supply, but I had to use the electronics from a dead battery to keep it operating. Otherwise it would shut down. It worked for me. I got everything operating, then bought a battery and flew it.

I have never used Litchi. I like doing hands on and setting up things for photo opportunities. I few my P4 with El lights. I had navigation problems, so I wouldn't recommend doing it.
