I'm pretty sure there's no fix for a bad ESC, so you'd have to replace the centerboard. That's one of the things that bugged me about the P3 when they first came out is the ESC was integrated with the CB. With the P2s, the ESC was an independent board which could be easily and cheaply swapped...

Good idea. Still beeping - then it must be the ESC which is part of the centerboard. Sorry.

It's not likely the centerboard. I would assume the motor is bad and replace it with the exact same motor. Be mindful of the clockwise / counterclockwise direction of the new motor. Be sure to get the right one. Good luck.

Pretty crazy, right? Before the P2V, I started off learning on a cheap drone that didn't have GPS, so I did have some practice. :-D

Absolutely correct. A ceiling fan and it would have been all over. No FPV, correct again. No wind, correct. No windows open, correct. Anything above and it would have been catastrophic.

In my experience, it's okay if it's stored in a cool area - not a 'fridge, but a room that's cooler than normal. It might even be a good thing re longevity. But it might be reluctant to charge right away if you try to charge it cold. Warmer than room temp would not be good. You are sure...

Make sure the battery is about room temp - i.e. not too cold If the battery doesn't charge, you can try turning it on while it's on the charger plugged in. Sometimes that will wake it up and it'll start charging normally. Good luck.
