Agree as above, simple reflectors are cheap and effective. Aiming them at your drone is the trick as you are concentrating the signal from your remote. BUT, that signal will be less off to the sides and behind you.
Guess I should have remembered that glitch, anyway, glad you're half way there. I'm done with the P3 series so hopefully one of the other old timers can solve your current delema. GL
As noted, updates are never required for a properly working drone and can cause more problems than they fix. Take the advice to downgrade the firmware to the original or other recommended ones. Good luck
Quite the save, thanks for posting. I assume others will ask for logs of that flight to discover the cause. Will be waiting for their replies as it's of interest to many of us here.
Those type mounts can be placed behind the camera with the laser mounted on top of it pointing down. Shouldn't interfere with camera, or takeoff and landing. Even if laser is strapped to a leg, ballance and weight shouldn't be an issue.
I'm still using a ipad mini 5 with lightning connection. Not the brightest but with a shade attached it works well even in sun, and fair priced nowadays. Never had a overheating problem in Florida summers and no cpu overloads either. I also have a 5th gen ipad (9.5") for occasional use that...
Appears the main problem is the drone link button won't flash amber every time it's pushed. It's not a difficult unit to replace but requires opening the shell, hopefully it will self correct but doubtful. Calibrating the RC sticks shouldn't happen often, if so they probably need...
Looking forward to your pics and/or vids. Been interested in FLIR and LIDAR add-ons for drones, especially with the load carrying capabilities of Phantoms, on the cheap. Where else can you get drone that carries a kilo for a few hundred bucks.
