Weak/Lost remote signal over 180 Feet High

Hi Everyone,
New P3S user here. When I first got my drone (used, about three months ago) I would occasionally get weak remote signals over 300 feet, sometimes a little less. Lately I can't go over 180 feet before the drone gives me weak signals, as well as choppy video and lost RF signal. I've tried buying one of the metal RF extenders that plugs onto the remote, but to no avail. I was hoping to get some info from what to check next.

Things I've tried:

RF Extender off Amazon (ten bucks or so)
Reinstall DJI Software
Pairing remote to drone again

Not sure what I should try next at this point. It flies great, I just want to make sure I'm getting the heights and distances I desire.

Your not flying that directly on top of you are you? If so try flying out a bit as signal will be weak directly above you....

I've tried flying out above as well and keeping it in front of me. Seems to hit the low RF signal at a ceiling around 180 feet or so. I've tried going out in different directions and I get a similar result.

I'm having the exact same problem. I tryed repairing the p3s with the tx. Opened it up to check wires. I dont wanna down grade firmware... but other then that or a argtek antenna im out of ideas.
