Tx mod - firmware help

Hopefully it’s a quick question!
I have an P3S and I have successfully done the magic power upgrade. I am on firmware 1.8 which is the last one that supports magic power I believe. What happens if I upgrade the firmware again? Does the tx mod disappear or will it brick?? Help??
