Everyone has been watching the stuck cable cars near Aiguille du Midi - did you see any of the rescue?

I heard that those stranded in the cable cars (gondolas) were rescued individually by helicopter. OMG, that must have been ummm interesting. Apparently, all will have a story to tell grandchildren one day! Hopefully, some video will surface of what sounds like a very daunting rescue operation. Those cars were suspended over a mile above AGL ...

No we didn't see anything - we were on the other side of Mt Blanc.
