So I am wondering if anyone here uses the Litchi app and the orbit feature along with Pix4d to map an area. Is it possible to put Pix4d in free flight mode and then use the orbit feature? Any help would be appreciated.

I think it wont work, but can try to ask at the support site of pix4d. You can ask questions and they very responsive
Why don't you just set interval timed photos on Litchi and then just orbit. The pix4D software can work out altitudes and angles on its own based on reference points. I've done this using a gopro on 2 second interval shots.
Thanks guys, I was able to finally get out and try yesterday and found that it will not work. Litchi orbit and Pix4d don't work well together at least not on my bird. I found I have to manually orbit the focal point and then Pix4d works.
