Phantom 3 motor at an angle ?

I have just noticed after putting on some prop guards , that the motors on my P3 sit at an angle and not straight.Putting on the guards it is really obvious where you see one end of the blade comes within 1/4 inch of the guard the other end has plenty of clearance.Its not the guards that are bent.
I google'd this and found very little .
Can anyone confirm this, are the motors supposed to sit like that ?
As for the guards I know I'll get some flack but let's just say I feel better with them on in some circumstances.

Don't forget to put the original screws back in when you take the guards off....the ones used with the guards are longer, and will punch up into the motors and ruin them!

Yeah they are roughly twice the length of the original. I was even a little hesitant on putting the longer ones .Also the head strips very easily .Hope they won't give me a hard time when the time comes to remove .
