I recently bought a P4 pro+ from a friend who seldom used it. Attempting to fly and I noticed on the screen it needed a firmware update, I updated the controller software 1st and all seamed well. When I tried to update the firmware of the craft through the controller I get to a screen I believe is the update screen but the radio button is grayed out. I downloaded Assistant to my PC and with the craft connected I can see the craft is 2 firmware back, when I click to installed the latest version it goes through the install but says firmware install failed, tried to d’load log file but nothing. Tried to disconnect/reconnect and power through but still fails every time. Any help greatly appreciated.

I tried to restore firmware through Assistant but it would not work, is it smart to fly with without updating firmware? I don’t want my first flight to be my last....lol

The lesson here may be that the “ignore” button is your friend.
Updates should be a research first, then decide if it should be done.
Post number two has the correct frame of mind.
Hope you can get it solved. Do a few YouTube searches to see if there may be some guidance there. Keep us posted and maybe someone will help get it solved. Sometimes when you connect to your pc, you may just need to power down the ac, then reconnect. I’ve seen the zero current version myself.

same situation here....i cant upgrade or downgrade aircraft anymore...version unknown for my aircraft. but still can fly it my only problem is no image transmission.
I had same problem a while ago. I learned that litchi is a way better program for flying. It's all I use now. I'm not saying it'll work but try it out and then never upgrade again
