P3P flakey motor, replaced now get ecu error .

Is there some sort of recalibration I need to do for the currents to the motors or someething? I had a motor which was not running at the proper rpm's a good amount of the time and making whining sound. I replaced it now I get ecu error. Perhaps I need to change all 4? or in pairs? I used official DJI hardware, so I think....

Did you put the right motor on in the right direction?

Did you cut the wires rather than unsoldeirng them. Some change in resistance will cause the error.

ESC Status Error means that one of Speed Control chips returns status other than "All OK".

Since you replaced the motor, you probably know which one is it. If you want to be sure, you can get this information from flight recorder log in the aircraft (DAT file). Information there also includes the status code returned. Though I'm not sure if anyone knows which status code means what..

Anyway, possible causes:
- The new motor is damaged
- The new motor is soldered incorrectly
- While soldering the motor, you damaged the ESC electronics

Try checking things with multimeter, check continuity and resistances. If one is out of ordinary, you have the cause.
