No auto-takeoff or auto-landing buttons on my display.

I'm new, so don't give me the benefit of the doubt that I know what I'm doing and have already checked the basics!
But I know enough to know that on my fly screen (on my Phantom 4 RTK) I should see an auto-takeoff and auto-landing 'button'. I see neither.
Strange thing is, I did have the auto-landing button before, but now it too is gone.
On the "Aircraft module self-check" screen, Flight control/Power/Battery/RC/Vision all say "OK". My "D-RTK2 Mobile Station" does say disconnected but I wouldn't think I would need that for this...

What are you using for a controller although not sure if that makes a difference. I use a the fixed screen controller and don't want to misdirect you with irrelevant comments if the tablet/phone controller menus behave differently. I've had a takeoff problem when using the Terrain Awareness option but had the max altitude setting too low. Also, may want to post in the Commercial Drone Pilots Forum. Historically have been a lot of helpful P4 RTK users there.

Delete and reinstall the GO4 app? That's where auto T&L is located and can't hurt anything, unlike updating firmware can.

The Phantom 4 RTK has its own built-in app ('GS2') on its built-in display...
And yes, Capt KO, you may be on to something because I did update firmware.

Steve, the controller is the 'DJI Smart Controller' that comes with the drone with the built-in display.
My max. altitude was set pretty low because as a beginner I am a little nervous. I think I had it at 125'.
I'll take your advice on the Commercial Drone forum.

My current experiences and research are telling me that the auto-takeoff and landing icons do not appear on the GS RTK app screen. I know the RTH icon WAS there when I first turned on the unit. I think it subsequently disappeared after I did the firmware update. I'm also basing this off watching a couple of unrelated utube videos that were using the same RTK equipment and I saw that their displays also did not show those icons...however, I wouldn't take this as the "settled science" on this matter.

My smart controller had an RTH button on it. Not sure if yours does.

Yes, mine does as well (a physical button below the right stick) and it is working very well. In this case, I'm talking about the RTH, Auto-takeoff, and RC icons that seem to be present on the 'fly' screen of most P4 apps. Mine doesn't have those.
Do you have the P4 RTK with the GS RTK app or another platform?

I just opened my version of go4 and I don’t see them there either and I don’t recall having seen them for a while. But then I never use them so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
