So a few months ago I tried to take off with my Mavic in a town that has a small local airport. I had called and there were no flights scheduled for that day, but I could not get my Mavic to take off regardless. It was simply blocked and I was getting a message telling me such.
Yesterday I was in the same area and I was using my new Phantom 4 Pro +. Again, I had called and they were not having any flights and I was only using the drone to take a picture of a house from about 60 feet off the ground. The drone did take off but I got a series of warning messages. Eventually I had to check two check boxes taking responsibility for my flight and releasing DJI of any legal liability. However the drone did take off and I flew around without any problems.
Has the latest firmware made flying in NFZs actually easier than it was before, seeing as how before it was impossible?
