Hello,

I tried using P3I1-FW-Toolv2 (by digdat0) tool to remove the height limit of the Phantom 3 Pro.

I guess my drone has FW 1.08.0080, because this is the last entry I found inside "P3X_FW_RESULT_AB.txt".
Packet: P3X_FW_V01.08.0080.bin
Upgrading ...
Result: Success.
So I used V01.08.0080_P3x_dji_system.bin as base image and changed both parameters:
advanced_function.height_limit_enabled = 2
flying_limit.max_height = 9000
I renamed the created firmware update file to PMCAPPFw3.bin and put it inside the SD card and forced an update process.
Sadly it is not working, the LOG says
[00015266]========== remo-con disconnect. boot(15) ============
[00015337]Firmware [C:\PMCAPPFw3.bin] detected, card sn [xxxxxxxxx].
[00015400][03 06] Firmware upgrade start...
[00057985][03 06] Firmware upgrade finish failed (step = 2, err = 0xaa).
[00088060]Done.
The fw file on the SD card gets renamed to PMCAPPFw3_damaged.bin.

I don't know what I did wrong.
Does anybody here have some experience with modding Phantom 3?

I have an idea. DJI Go App shows, my firmware version is "1.5.30+".
From what I read the "+" means the App can't really decide on a version, something must be not correct.

I checked the LOG again and this is what's inside: (see attachment of this post).

I did not do this, but the former owner of the drone. ChatGPT says he tried to downgrade several times and now there are version mismatches.
ChatGPT suggets I should do a full clean firmware update.

I will try with 1.5.30 first.

@cybtrash ,
I reversed your edits to restore the thread to its original state then posted your edit to the first post here:

“edit: Solved this problem, my firmware was not in a clean state (1.5.30+). The former owner did some things wrong.
Thread can be deleted.”

We do not delete informative threads on this forum. They stay in place so others can learn from them. Good detective work!
