Mavic Pro vs Mavic Standard

Are we to assume given there's a Pro in the title of yesterdays launch that the likelihood is that we will also see a standard/advanced version??

I personally see no reason to believe that. My thoughts are it is simply just a naming/marketing convention.

I bet DJI has a less expensive Wi-Fi only Mavic model up their sleeve.

The FCC filing has two submissions/grants, "Mavic" & "Mavic Pro".
I did not search through each to compare but would be a good source for determining RF related differences.

I would like one. I like my P3S but it is a pain to carry around and $1,000 is to much for me.

At this time I am aware of only one new DJI, the Mavic Pro. Possibly there are plans for a Mavic Standard in the future similar to what happened in the P3 series.
