I get pretty close to this very nice manitowoc and vesta wind tower in the erection phase...

At 3 Mins or so in he reaches out to grab the blade studs and I feel like it is simply breath taking.

I took this video with a DJI standard that I had purchased from walmart (HA)

This video is an extra to that video...

In this video I am just initially scoping out the area.
Than I notice people waving from a hole in the side of the nacelle (The hammer part) to the wind tower.

I thought it was pretty funny they were pretty happy to see the drone lol.

Very cool seeing it in progress like that! Thanks for sharing!

That crane pilot flies a prop pretty well.
Do you know what those propellers are made of?

Mostly fiberglass and wood. Some have a wood/fiberglass rib cage. ... For the most part fiberglass.

Lol i'll have to let him know that hes a good "crane pilot" :D thanks for watching.

Yeah, a great crane operator is worth there weight in gold much as a great helicopter pilot is. Watching a helicopter pilot inch towards HV power lines to drop off or pick up a technician is awe inspiring.
