All the subjects on here about the batteries seem to lead to know clear answer, I am looking for a definitive answer as to whether I can use a alternative battery in the remote controller since DJI does not sell the original.
The battery is Model: RC03012 LGABB41865 2600mAh 18.72 Wh 7.2V Li-ion with a 4 Pin Connector.
I am assuming they are 2 LGABB41865, 2600mAh 3.6V Li-ion Cylindrical Cells ?
Has anyone done a successful replacement of these batteries in their remote ?
Can you buy 2 LGABB41865 cells and use the protection circuit module, wire, and pin from original pack ?

There is a few sellers that are selling a similar pack for the DJI remote but they are way to expensive;

See Attached Photo of Original Pack

Thank You

Yeah there is a number of threads on the topic but they all lead nowhere

Yes you can use a non DJI battery ....

The standard controller uses a Single LiPo cell of 2600mAh - this is why you can use a mobile phone charger on it. Its max voltage when charged is 4.2V ....

The Adv and Pro controllers use a TWO cell LiPO of 6000mAh ...

They are NOT special in any way EXCEPT DJI have put a weird double connector on the power lead and done away with balance lead for the 2S Adv / Pro battery.

I have a spare broken Pro controller - so I will never probably need to install a non DJI battery to my Pro controller ... but here is a YT video of a guy fitting a non DJI LiPo to his controller (Standard would not be any different EXCEPT make sure its a ONE CELL LIPO ) ...

One advantage of doing it with a non DJI battery of course - you can have the balance lead exit the case and use a Balance Lead charger (about $5 - $10 on eBay) ... ie :

Thanks Nigel I saw those videos, I just unwrapped the battery pack out of the P3S controller and they are actually 2 LGABB41865 Lithium-ion 3.6V 2600mAh cylindrical cells.
See Photos

Only thing now is can I de-solder the protection circuit module and bottom plate and re-solder onto new batteries ? It looks like the bottom plate was spot welded on.
